A right to housing redux
Article Abstract:
Low and moderate-income households in the United States face considerable obstacles in locating decent affordable quality housing. The problem of housing can be solved by public housing authorities through the work of nonprofit organizations and even through the work of private for- profit sector and as long as these programs are structured, the benefits to the poor are not compromised by the needs of the private entrepreneurs to make a profit.

Raising the roof of excellence
Article Abstract:
Three projects that won the 2004 Award of Excellence for Program Innovation in Community Revitalization given by the National Association of Housing & Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) are profiled. The John O'Brien Learning Center in California, the Human Services Center in Pennsylvania, and the Nisbett and Fairman Buildings Michigan, are the awarded housing practitioners.
