William Brown, a former president at Bishop Museum in Honolulu is appointed as the new president of the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia to make it financially stable. The museum in the US in the past years have struggled to survive in the face of diminished government support, competition from the entertainment industry, and lack-lustre philanthropy.
