Impact of regional climate change on human health
Article Abstract:
The growing evidence that climate-health relationships pose increasing health risks due to climate change and that the warming trend has contributed to increased morbidity and mortality in many regions of the world is reviewed. It is projected that potentially vulnerable regions warm disproportionately, subject to large rainfall variability due to the El Nino/Southern Oscillation sub-Saharan Africa and sprawling cities where the urban heat island effect can intensify extreme climatic events.

Climate proofing the Netherlands
Article Abstract:
An estimated 60% of Netherlands' territory is located below sea level and earns 70% gross national product from the flood prone area, facing extreme climatic events. The approach is to develop a climate proofing strategy, which is more cost effective.
